Definitely not, this is a good time of year to put out new nest boxes.  Birds prefer aged wood so putting your boxes out early will give them a chance to "season".  Also, a bird may use your box to roost in during bad weather and cold nights.  Placing your boxes now will help to increase the chance that you will get a tenant later this spring.
