Corps is hosting bird banding demonstrations free and open to the public!
Come
watch live birds be banded (tagged) and learn about a Real Science Project
studying chickadees and other urban species. Discover how you can help these
birds survive in the city, as well as how you can contribute to the protection
and conservation of the environment around the world!
Bird banding demonstrations will be held monthly on
Saturdays beginning December 15th and from then on, on the fourth Saturday of
every month until April: January 26th, February 23rd, March 22nd, and April
26th. Demonstrations run from 8:00am-11:00am in all weather at laceName u2:st="on">laceName w:st="on">SewardlaceName>laceName> laceType u2:st="on">laceType w:st="on">ParklaceType>laceType> at the laceName u2:st="on">laceName w:st="on">AudubonlaceName>laceType u2:st="on">laceType w:st="on">CenterlaceType>laceType>laceName> on the
roundabout. All are also welcome to join us for a guided Bird Walk at 9:00am to
look for banded birds! No reservations are necessary. Families and children are
welcome and encouraged to attend this fun Saturday morning environmental
learning experience!
