The Pacific Seabird Group would like to cordially invite you to the 35th ANNUAL MEETING OF THE PACIFIC SEABIRD GROUP to be held on 27 February- 2 March, 2008 at the Semiahmoo Resort in Blaine, Washington. PSG is a society of professional seabird researchers and managers dedicated to the study and conservation of seabirds. If you are curious about the ecology, behavior, and conservation of aquatic birds, or perhaps how to get involved in citizen-science programs, this is the meeting for you. There are exciting field trips on Sunday. This year's meeting theme is "Seabirds in Marine Ecosystems" and the plenary speakers are John Croxall (from the UK) and John Piatt (USGS Alaska), both famous and influential seabird biologists. There is a symposium on local research in Puget Sound, "The Salish Sea Ecosystem: Status and Impacts of Changes on Marine Birds". The beautiful conference hotel is located on the shores of Puget Sound at a time when many species of seabirds, waterfowl and birds of prey abound.
