I am back from BirdWatch America with lots of new ideas.  Hopefully, you will see some positive additions to The Wild Bird soon.

There are a few new items I would like to highlight.  First, we are expanding our optics section and will be stocking a wider selection of binoculars.  We will carry glasses from Vortex, Stokes Birding Series and Audubon.  All are very nice binoculars at unbelievable prices.  You can pay a whole lot more for a pair of birding binos but I don't think you'll get better value.  Not only are these glasses priced well but they are backed with a fantastic warranty.  You really can't do any better without spending a lot more money.

We are also going to stock live mealworms on a trial basis.  Feeding mealworms to birds is very popular in other parts of the country but less so here in the west.  These guys are packed in a can with worm food and will last for days.  They will live longer if kept in a cool environment.  Come in and give them a try.  We will have special pricing on the first shipment of cans.

Finally, I am bringing in a new product to help with the fight against bears, raccoons and deer.  The Nite Guard is a solar powered device designed to keep pest animals away from your feeders or out of the yard entirely.  We are going to give these a trial run and will report back with our findings.  One thing I will say; the Nite Guard people are so confident in their product that they have a 60 day money back guarantee.

I will write more about these products as they arrive and I start getting customer feedback.  Stay tuned!
